Our chairperson, Lawrence Glyn has been attending the quarterly Diabetes Network Meetings organised by the Leeds CCG which involve all the key players in Diabetes Care - CCG, Hospital Trusts, Consultants, Lead Nurses, Footcare, Communications Team etc. Lawrence was very interested to hear at a recent meeting that the issue surrounding the use of Libre Abbot flash glucose meters has gained a lot of support in Leeds and the Management Team at the CCG will be making final decisions on the criteria by which they will be issued to patients with Type 1 diabetes. This will be of tremendous support to those who feel that they need such a meter to manage their blood sugar levels more closely and appropriately - watch this site for more updates on this important issue.
